Paul M Parsons, proprietor of Vernon Violins since 1987, on leaving school began music studies with violin as first study, becoming absorbed with a fascination for violin making and restoration. On leaving music studies at the age of 19, Paul approached David Vernon where he began the study of restoration within the trade in a busy workshop and commercial environment.

During the 27 years as proprietor Paul has brought some of the finest instruments and bows to the North West providing investment quality instruments and bows for music students, amateur, prominent professional musicians and world leading music education establishments, not forgetting those with an interest in collecting and investment.
The newest member of the team, Lisa has joined Vernon Violins to oversee the company websites with particular emphasis on administrating the Strings Express part of the business. A former University lecturer in early modern History, with a PhD in cultural history, Lisa is also a keen musician and plays harp, classical guitar, and piano.
